Home learning for pupils who are self isolating: 

Literacy - Home learning activities with a Literacy focus are set weekly. These are sent to parents/carers via email. You can share your child's learning by uploading and photo, video or comment to Tapestry, or you can email 

Maths - You can access video lessons and complete activities via the Oak National Academy for Key Stage 1. You might also want to access the videos and activities that are available on the White Rose Maths website. 


Reading - Use the Oxford Owl website to access reading activities for 5-6 year olds. 

Click here to access their e-book library. To help you know which books to choose there is a short reading test to help find the right level reading book for your child. Alternatively you can email and ask your child's class teacher for advice. 

Phonics - Please click here to find out about how to support phonics at home. 


Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education - In school we use a programme called Jigsaw to teach PSHE. You can click here to access Jigsaw's website to complete the home learning units of learning.

Additional learning suggestions

Espresso have launched a series of lessons that could be additional learning projects that you choose to complete at home.  Remember you will need the log in details for Espresso: student4619 and the password is: geoffrey.

Young Citizens (we use some of their resources in school) have put together some Home Learning resources for pupils designed to support SMSC (social, moral, spiritual, cultural), Citizenship and PSHE learning within a home environment.

Philosophy - In school your child will take part in some child-friendly philosophy sessions. These sessions are much more accessible than they might sound!  They are generally based around a conversation, sharing an opinion or debating an idea. There are a series of free videos you can watch, each with a different theme. These videos will prompt a discussion, similar to the ones we have in our philosophy lessons in school.
